Hannah is making all sorts of interesting sounds these days! I was able to catch a little of it but my memory card got full before she face planted on the couch :)
I normally don't post stories but this one has been on my mind and I wanted to share. A few weeks ago we took the girls to Kansas City for a visit. On our way out of town, we took Madeline to buy some flowers so we could visit the cemetary where Mimi (my mom) was buried. Madeline recognizes the pink breast cancer ribbon as "Mimi's ribbon". When we went in to purchase flowers, she immediately found a perfect bouquet. They were pink with Mimi's ribbon included in the arrangement. There were even 2 stargazer lillies, which is a flower my mom loved.
We went to the cemetary and Madeline was really excited. As soon as she got out of the car, she skipped to mom's tombstone, calling out in a sing song voice, "We brought flowers for you Mimi!" Her joy absolutely touched our hearts and brought tears to our eyes. Madeline often talks about how great it will be "when Heaven comes down and we get to hug God, Jesus, Mimi and Grampy" (Chris' dad). I am so greatful for our tender hearted daughter.
Chris and I have been together for 13 years, married for 10. We have two beautiful girls who are bright shining spots in our lives!
We regret the miles that separate us from our family and many friends but hope that this blog can help us stay connected. Come visit anytime to see us living our lives together!
